Responsibilities:
The Machining Head is a key department head role in our manufacturing operations. Reporting directly to the Production Manager, you will oversee a team of people to deliver quality components. The responsibilities of the role include:* Responsible for the overall performance of Machining section.* Continuously review and increase the cost effectiveness and efficiency of the production process and recommend improvements.* Maintain and continuously improve product quality and reduce production reject.* Work together with the Machining Supervisor to monitor, advise, plan, implement and review corrective and preventive actions to improve the quality of product and effectiveness of the quality system.* Support Development/Engineering and Toolroom Department for product development and FA activities, including reviewing of report and developing related documents.* Ensure there is enough manpower and all personnel in the section are competent through proper training and education. And also ensuring all personnel are aware of the company quality policy and objectives and how they can contribute to the achievement of the objectives.* Ensure the machine and equipment are properly maintained to reduce the machine down time.* Planning, coordination and commissioning of any new equipment in the section.* Ensure good housekeeping at Machining and the work environment is safe and suitable.
